PRIVATE MANDATESEARCH
For candidates

Explore potential employers.
Control your introductions.

Discreet career representation for professionals exploring potential employers worldwide. Define your target markets, relocation preferences, and work authorization needs before outreach begins.

The candidate mandate

Decide who to approach
and what to share.

A career move can begin before a public job search. Candidate representation starts by defining your target roles, identifying relevant employers, and agreeing which organizations may be approached.

01

Clarify your direction

Discuss your experience, motivations, preferred responsibilities, location needs, and practical considerations.

02

Choose the roles and markets to explore

Research relevant organizations and agree the types of employers and opportunities worth exploring.

03

Plan the introduction

Develop a focused professional summary and agree how potential employers may be approached.

04

Contact approved employers privately

Contact agreed organizations discreetly. Share identifying information or your CV only with your permission.

Your information. Your decision.

Confidentiality is part
of the process.

CONTROL

Agree the boundaries.

Identify organizations that must not be approached, including your current employer and any sensitive relationships.

CONSENT

Approve introductions.

An initial approach can use a nonidentifying summary. Your identity is disclosed only after permission.

EXPECTATIONS

Understand the scope.

Research and outreach do not guarantee a vacancy, interview, offer, or placement. Any engagement has clear deliverables.

Two distinct relationships

How career representation
works with employer searches.

Applying for an employer commissioned role is free. Optional career representation is a separate service, with any scope and fees agreed in writing before work starts and subject to applicable requirements.

If an opportunity creates a potential conflict between an employer mandate and candidate representation, that conflict must be addressed before proceeding.

Can you guarantee that I will find a job?

No. The engagement defines research and outreach deliverables. Hiring decisions remain with employers.

Can you contact my current employer?

Your current employer is excluded from proactive approaches unless you expressly authorize otherwise. Any additional exclusions are agreed at the outset.

Should I send my CV in the first message?

Start with a brief introduction. The required information and its intended use are discussed before further documents are requested.

Are there current advertised vacancies?

No vacancies are currently published on this website. You can enquire about the practice and career representation without applying to a specific position.

What you can agree up front

Know how you will be represented.

Review the scope and any fee in writing before choosing whether to engage the firm.

01

A target list you approve

Agree the roles and organizations to explore, plus any employers and contacts to exclude.

02

Agreed wording for outreach

Review how your experience will be described and decide when your name or CV can be shared.

03

Activity and next steps

Agree what updates cover and when to expect them. Discuss any overlap with an employer assignment before authorizing outreach to that employer.
